The First Job on Earth (A Prophetic Fashion Story)

last week, i was casually shopping for a new graphic tee to add to my closet… and then God made it prophetic.

i found a shirt with a gorgeous Renaissance art print that i loved right away, and when i researched the source, i fell down a rabbit hole of codes.

the illustration is a printer’s mark from the 1500s, like a signature for a book artist or publisher, and it depicts a scene from Genesis, with Adam and Eve tending to the land.

this was actually the first job for humans, ever… and it was a job of bringing Heaven back to Earth.

Adam and Eve were tasked by the Father with stewarding the Garden of Eden, and from there, turning the entire planet Edenic— a mission of much needed redemption, after the first angelic fall deeply affected all of Creation, distorting the organic blueprint of our world.

that was the original assignment, anyways, but then the serpent showed up. Adam and Eve lost their positions in the garden, easeful work became painful toil, heavenly governance and deliverance for the planet became merely surviving on the fallen land… and you probably know the rest.

the art’s motto is a reminder to the reader that humanity was made to work, and a nudge to be joyfully diligent with our tasks, like the ant.

pretty cool shirt, right? i thought so too, plus it was on sale… and i got the very last one. 😉

outfit details:
t-shirt – Urban Outfitters (sold out)
skirt – Amanda Uprichard secondhand via Rent the Runway, many years ago
heels – Jessica Simpson Nyrole pumps (DSW, available as of publication date)

every God-led act of service that we carry out today is an echo of this first job given to humanity.

completing what the first Adam could not, in doing our part to heal and resurrect the planet, together with the last Adam.

if you have heard and answered the call to Kingdom service, you too are a part of this great work of global redemption.

using the uniqueness of who you are and what you do to bring the power and love of God back into our world… returning Eden to hearts and regions. 🌱🌷

i’ll be speaking more on Kingdom work and mission at the Way of Grace Devotional Woman Summit in the first week of May. it’s free (!), and you’ll get to hear me share the insights that have come from walking with God in feminine business, and co-creating all my content and offerings with Him. you can register to join us here. hoping to see you there! 🤍
